Andrew Hunter: Managing Director
The Managing Director began his career over 20 years ago in the United Kingdom with extensive Experience working within the Oil and Gas Sector, from the early years at a Technician level through Welding Inspection and Quality Control .Gaining Experience in Oil Storage Terminals, Chemical Plants, Gas Plants, LNG Plants, Gas Production Facilities, Fabrication Yards, Oil Refineries, Offshore Facilities ,Onshore / Offshore Pipeline Installation, Jacket Construction – Installation / Hook Up, Subsea Manifold Construction – Installation and Subsea Hot Taps.
He has spent the past 13 years gaining extensive experience in the West African Region specializing in Project / Operations Management, working up through positions at General Manager / Country Manager, Managing Director and Company Executive Director Level.
Before joining SGS Nigeria in January 2008, he was on the Board of Directors for a well known International Service Company in the West African Region. The Company specialized in Welding / NDT Inspection, Rope Access Engineering, Specialist Inspection Services for Pipeline-Pressure Vessels-storage Tanks-Tube Bundles, Asset Integrity Management, Engineering Manpower, Subsea Umbilical’s and Subsea ROV Services
Piet Himpe: General Manager, Finance
He is a Commercial Engineer with 15 years of financial experience ranging from consulting, shared accounting services centering in financial management, mainly in multinational FMCG companies.
Lived and worked over the last 5 years in South Africa and Morocco.
Warrick Riley: General Manager Oil Gas & Chemical
Prior to his joining SGS Nigeria, he was the Divisional Manager for the M&I Division in South Africa and also the Marketing and Development manager for Measurement and Instrumentation Division for Sub Saharan Africa. He has extensive experiences in the Oil and Gas sector
Peter Obiazu: General Manager, Trade Services
He is responsible for the Agricultural Division, Government and Institutions Services, Solid Minerals Inspection, Fumigation and Collateral Management. He has over 20years post-graduation business and managerial experience in Import - Export Operations, Marine/Port Surveys and Collateral Management. He is also the Branch Manager of SGS Apapa.
George Mclean: Project Manager
SGS Industrial Project Manager George Mclean commenced his Oil and Gas career in 1992 as the IRATA Lev III Rope Access Trainer Supervisor working worldwide onshore and offshore for a well known international company. George moved into NDT in 1993 and continued to develop an all round knowledge of conventional and advanced NDT applications.
In 2000, George commenced as Senior Inspector at the Qua Ibo Terminal, 2001 as NDE Advisor, 2002 as Project Manager on the CCM (Corrosion Conditioning Monitoring) contract through until 2006.
From 2006 until April 2007 George focused his attention on Advanced NDE Inspection, at the Qua Iboe Terminal.
Prior to taking up his position as Project Manager with SGS, George was heavily involved with the setting up of the Inspection, Maintenance and Certification of MPN field wide overhead Hoist and Monorails.
Dimm Igochukwu: Nigeria Content and Technical Staffing
He coordinates in alliance with the Federal Government Policies on Local Content Implementation. He was the Logistics Manager for our Port Harcourt Branch and has been with the company for over fifteen years.
Peter Obiazu: System and Services Certification (SSC)
Peter also manages the SSC Business for SGS Nigeria, which involves Training, Auditing and Certification of companies to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 22000, and other Management Standards. Trained on the various Management Systems Auditing, he also coordinates Second-party as well as Retail Audits for various clients of SGS Nigeria.
Akinloye Julius: AGM Finance
He is ICAN certified, the highest qualification in accounting. He joined SGS IN 1996 and has worked as the Branch accountant, Accountant Manager and presently is the Assistant General Manager Finance.
Frank Ofonda: Measurement and Instrument Services
He is currently the Assistant General Manager, Oil, Gas and Chemicals He also heads the traditional OG&C based in Apapa and in Port Harcourt. He has over fifteen years experience in marketing and business development.
Elizabeth Eburajolo: GM Human Resources
A member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria with extensive human resource and managerial experience, she currently heads the human resources department.
Akindele Akinbiyi: QHS&E Manager
He holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration with finance and accounting background. He has IRCA Lead Auditors Certificate on ISO 9001:2000-QMS and OHSAS 18001:2007-Safety Management. Akin has a business operations experience round SGS divisions, he managed Port Harcourt office and as Head Compliance before his current appointment as Quality Health Safety & Environment-QHS&E Manager.
Isaac Uzor: Branch Co-coordinator
He is in charge of Warri branch and co-ordinates SGS activities in that axis. He joined SGS Nigeria in May 1990 and has worked as an operational manager in OG&C division.
Ifeoma Esangbedo: Senior Executive Manager Marketing and Sales
She holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration. and has a wide knowledge in Marketing and Sales. A professional member of the National institute of Marketing of Nigeria, she has been in this field for over ten years.
